When I was little I used to write my own magazine articles for my family. My favorite class in high school was English, which made the decision to go to college and get a Bachelors degree in English, Creative Writing an easy one. Since then I have continued to strengthen my craft through multiple writing courses, writing my first novel, and now drafting my second manuscript.

Starting it Right

This course was all about starting your story in the right place and in the right way. It taught me a lot about how important your first few pages are. I completely revamped the opening of my novel after I completed by this course.
Writing Emotions and Relationships

This course was dedicated to unpacking emotions, learning how they exist between humans, and how to bring them alive on the page. It was deeply eye opening and has since forced me to dig deeper into the many levels of my character's emotions.
Hacking Writing on a Line Level
by literary agent CeCe Lyra
This course significantly improved the way I structure sentences and what words I choose to put on the page. We learned certain techniques and rules for how to improve writing on a micro line level, whereas the other two courses focused on macro level topics.
